On 19 November 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, three Horizon Europe-funded research projects, GAPs, FAiR, and MORE, will host a high-level policy dialogue at the European Parliament on the EU’s return and readmission policies. The projects will share their main findings and foster debate on viable alternatives to current return frameworks.
This joint event will gather EU and Member State policymakers, civil society representatives, and researchers to critically assess the shortcomings of existing return mechanisms and discuss more humane and effective approaches beyond forced returns. The panel will include Members of the European Parliament and European Commission policy officers, ensuring strong institutional engagement with the research outcomes.
